ntopng - new version (v4.0.0) upgrade notification in page footer?

Is it possible to do the download/upgrade of ntopng manually via download/install process?
Seeing a notification in ntopng's footer stating: " A new ntopng (v.4.0.0) is available for download: please upgrade." that links to http://www.ntop.org/get-started/download/
Running pfSense v2.4.4-release-p3 and notpng package 0.8.13_3, which states a dependency on ntopng-3.8.d20191111,1 but the ntopng web UI indicates v3.6.190215... so not exactly sure which is right... 3.8.191111 or 3.6.190215?

The Freshports page for ntopng has actually now been updated to 4.0 already.
(See my other thread ).
I wonder if it'd be easier for the Netgate folks to simply pull from that now that it's been updated?
