I cannot access certain domains (ex: google.com) from my network. I can perform a traceroute and ping to google.com from within my network but when trying to load google.com I get ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT. I am also having trouble with my Google Home devices connecting as well. There are a few other websites that I'm having issues with as well. I have looked through logs and cannot identify anything that could be blocking these connections. I have enabled and disabled different rules as well as pfBlocker and Suricata to locate a cause without any luck.

The weird thing is that if I connect to a VPN, I can access the websites without a problem. I am at a loss. I am not a networking or pfSense pro by any means.

      Thanks for your help!

and in the same phrase you said :

I have a fast and simple solution for you.
Use pfSense with default settings. No packages. That is : no packages that 'do things' with your communication to the Internet.
Your problems will be gone, I'm 100 % sure.

It's still possible to use pfBlocker or Suricata .
You should activate one at the time, do the "test-test-test" thing during. every setting you delete, change or add. This way, you know what to undo when google.com goes down.

Edit : and where are the logs ??

The pfSense basically doesn't block google.com, although it might be good :-), but unfortunately there is no alternative instead of google anywhere in the world.
It is only possible that, there is an error in your setup, which can be found with a little time.

What is your output for this?

            ping google.com

google.com has thousands of IP's - all depend where you are.
