I'm still confused as to why my Gateway monitoring doesn't work for Peer to Peer OpenVPN servers that are configured with subnet topology.
(I have posted this in another tread that hasn't been answered)

As per the screenshot I have added the Tunnel addresses of the server/s under "monitor IP". I get a response to a ping command on 10.200.31.1 and 10.200.22.1, but the gateway monitoring stil doesn't work.
I can downgrade to the old "net30" subnet to solve it, but it doesn't answer the real question about monitoring on "Subnet", or even why the gateway addresses are 10.200.xx.2 ?

        That should say "another thread".
        Still no answers? thoughts? ideas?

        Confuses me ...

I've been curious about this as well. I have a site-to-site VPN server configured and an interface assigned to it, but I've never managed to get gateway monitoring working properly for it.
