      Hello all,

I have a HA-Setup with 2 pfSense (2.4.5-RELEASE) appliances which is working without problems.

Both Firewalls have a unique WAN IP and share some public Virtual IPs (IP-Aliases). This is because I run on bare metal @OVH-Provider where CARP is not working. Therefore I must assign the Virtual IP (OVH Failover IP Block) to the current Master via the OVH-API when doing failover, which works.

I also have a OpenVPN Server running on one of these shared IP-Aliases.

When connecting to OpenVPN Server as a client, I can only access the Primary Firewalls Management LAN IP (e.g. 192.168.0.1/24). But I cannot access 2nd Node Management LAN IP (e.g. 192.168.0.2/24) and I cannot find any hints in the Logs.

What is required beside allowing traffic from OpenVPN-Network to the Management Network?

When I use a Jumphost that is connected to the management Network, then I can access both firewalls on LAN IP without any problem.

So it looks like firewall 1 still prevents traffic from OpenVPN network to the second Firewall LAN.

Which is also confusing: I can access any Host in the Management Network via OpenVPN. But the 2nd FW Node i cannot access.

      Any suggestions?
