      Current Setup is as followed.
Verizon Fios Router (192.168.1.1) - Router / Wifi mode (I have several devices I don't want on my local network) and into one of those ports I have my my pfSense Box. Which gets an ip off of the verizon router of 192.168.1.5 which is the WAN address and my LAN address is 10.0.0.1 / 10.0.0.* network.

What I'm trying to do is access the Verizon Web management (http://192.168.1.1) from my 10.0.0.9 (a desktop) address. Everyone says to just put it in bridge mode and let pfsense handle routing.. but I want the verizon to handle that and be a guest network outside of the internal network. (tv/gaming console/etc)

      I've tried following the
      https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/interfaces/accessing-modem-from-inside-firewall.html

guide but get lost here as I don't have any of those options
"Under Interfaces > (assign), create a new OPT interface, and assign it to the physical network card that is on WAN. For example, if the WAN on the assignment page is “PPPOE0(re2)”, choose re2, and Save the changes."

Any help would be appreciated. Currently I just hook into the Fios LAN when I need to open up a port. just trying to make it less wires.

      thanks!

        Hi,

        I have an identical situation.
That is, I kept the 192.168.1.1/24 on LAN on pfSense, and told my ISP router to go from 192.168.1.1/24 to 10.0.0.1/24*

There is nothing else to do : I can type http://10.0.0.1 to visit the web GUI of my ISP box.
Keep in mind that the traffic is "RFC1918".

If your pfSense doesn't do "PPPOE" on it's WAN, then no need to create an "OPT interface" etc.

No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
Edit : and where are the logs ??
