      Hi,

I'm using pfblockerng to try and block porn for the family - its working well, but i want to block the www subdomain of the porn domain list I have. At the moment pornsite.com is blocked, whilst www.pornsite.com is not blocked. Whats the best way to address this please?

I wondered if TLD would do this, but i dont have need for all the extra domain extensions TLD allows for and I'm also a little confused by the description.

On the PfblockerNG tab it describes TLD as:
'This is an Advanced process to determine if all Sub-Domains should be blocked for each listed Domain.
Click infoblock before enabling this feature!
This Feature is not recommended for Low-Perfomance/Low-Memory installations!
Definition: TLD -  represents the last segment of a domain name. IE: example.com (TLD = com), example.uk.com (TLD = uk.com)
      '

Where as I was always told the sub-domain is part of the larger domain i.e.
'A subdomain is a domain that is part of a larger domain; the only domain that is not also a subdomain is the root domain.[1] For example, west.example.com and east.example.com are subdomains of the example.com'

      Thanks

One option i have considered is manually altering the /var/db/pfblockerng/dnsbl/Shallalist_porn.txt to just include the www versions of those site in addition to those without www.

Would that be a mad idea?
