Given the work-from-home existence, I have not needed to use RDP recently. However, I have made several changes to my network setup, including updating to 2.4.5p1, and so I generated a new client export file today.

When generating the file, I see a kernel message "Deprecated code (to be removed in FreeBSD 13): 3DES cipher via /dev/crypto" in my system log. I am able to connect to the system remotely using the export file.

In this post, @johnpoz mentioned the OpenVPN installer changed, so I am not sure if i need to re-run the wizard/installer, or take other action?

Nope, it just indicates that this is an "deprecated algorithms" that will be removed in 13

BTW, my method is to install the OpenVPN app own and after add the xyz.ovpn file
(which you can modify if necessary)

@DaddyGo Thank you for the reply and the clarification on the message. I export the executable file and run it on my windows client, which has the OpenVPN GUI installed. I think it is the same result as your method?

What cipher are you using... You sure shouldn't be using 3DES ;)
