this is normal behavior as Skype uses multiple "channels" ports, etc. when connecting
whitelist like (incomplete!!!):
apps.skypeassets.com
login.skype.com
pipe.skype.com
secure.skype.com
config.skype.com
api.skype.com
ui.skype.com
s.gateway.messenger.live.com
get.skype.com
dsn13.d.skype.net
mobile.pipe.aria.microsoft.com
a.config.skype.com
www.skypeassets.com
dr.skype.net
apps.skype.com
api.asm.skype.comclear the states, if you want to connect immediately
or configure Squid with these for permanent use:https://wiki.squid-cache.org/ConfigExamples/Chat/Skype
https://forum.netgate.com/topic/96804/skype-not-workingBTW:
question, why turn the proxy on and off?+++edit:
Skype_Ips.txt -
Hello, these are not blacklisted
personally I think this problem is more complicated than is seems.
Thanks for the links.
P.S.
Squid is new to me, I've noticed that with enabled proxy I can't manage open ports, there is a list of deault ports always listen

if you want to use Skype under a proxy, you need to put them on a whitelist
@dealornodeal " Squid is new to me"
I configured Squid for months before it worked to my liking
(and to the liking of my customers)Squid is a difficult theme, a good setting is environment dependent and the development of https makes it increasingly difficult to work with
-
so which mode is more secured ? transparent or not? what can you advise? I have enabled SSL filtering but there is no traffic at all

I prefer the non-transparent mode, but this involves more configurations...
@dealornodeal "I have enabled SSL filtering but there is no traffic at all"
itβs not that simple to enable SSL filtering...... and done
this is what we discussed, that it complicates the whole Squid proxy questionI consider Squid unnecessary in a SOHO environment, because it always - always makes you cry, if you can't transfer money through your bank's website
we use it in a corporate environment where we prefer to gain control of users with it
this is not related closely to pfSense + Squid, but a useful read (Squid explicit):

one more thing I should mention..
I am sitting behind pfsense firewall and periodicaly my bios resets, it never happened before... ofcourse it may be hardware mailfunction or just MS Windows added some crappy things into BIOS management system..
who knows?

pfSense / FreeBSD, cannot change the BIOS this is the fact...
Under UEFI you can win, modification like EasyBCD...
