      Hi,

I am running pfsense 2.5 on my Netgate SG-3100 device.

I noticed today when I did a update to the latest (August 2nd) build - that a new wireguard-tools package got installed:

      New packages to be INSTALLED:
              wireguard-tools: 20200727 [pfSense]

      This seems pretty exciting!!!

Does this mean that it's the first step in getting Wireguard support into pfSense?

Is there any way to use it so far?

      Thanks,
      Victor

It's only in 2.5.0 snapshots running on Netgate hardware currently.

              Thanks for clarifying, @jimp!

(I assume the Netgate only hardware is just for now).

Do you know if this paves the way for native Wireguard support in pfSense?

Is there any way to use the tools yet?

(I have many SG-3100 and XG-7100 units I would love to connect up over Wireguard).

It's not usable yet, there is more work to do. But the tools are required to do that work.
