Hi,
At first, I would suggest to inspect that device, called lo0.
But then I knew who it was : it's de 'driver' name of the IP stack of the FreeBSD kernel itself, known as lo0 or "127.0.0.1 or ::1 or 'localhost', and isn't physical, it a pure OS internal thing.
This means that the kernel goes down with it's own code. As this code is tested a billion time a day, I tend to say : your device is dying on you (memory ... )
lo0 is not a physical NIC, and doesn't need an 'external' driver. -
