I have a post going under the IPSEC forums, but i figured this might be a better place for some of what it contains now:

First, the new Racoon is missing a directory (/var/db/racoon/), and racoon fails to load because of it when upgrading from a previous RC (a few weeks or a month old).

Second, wow is the web interface slow for me now! Probably 10% the speed it was with the previous RC and/or 1.2.2. It takes me a good ~10 seconds to load my firewall rules page. I get about 1-3 rules per second coming up with a good 1-2 seconds before anything comes up (on my LAN). The box isn't showing any signs of strain (Load Averages  0.00 0.02 0.00 - 1% CPU), just a super super slow interface. Add-Ons like "phpsysinfo" and "BandwidthD" load near instantly, so it's not the server daemon.

As I said in my reply in that other thread, you may want to try another new snap, the latest from tonight. There were some other issues with the builder that caused problems.

I loaded the latest pfSense 1.2.3-RC/7.2 snap in a VM, and then loaded an XP VM behind it, and the WebGUI still came up practically instantaneously.
