transparent proxy vs non-transparent
-
can someone explain please
what is the purpose of using transparent proxy if my PC still connect to remote site directly ... I can see it in netstat -a :
TCP 192.168.10.10:51517 13.107.6.163:https ESTABLISHED
when I use non-transparent proxy it connects via proxy server (what is required, and this is what I been looking for, a 3rd party player who does all required job while I am sitting behind its back)
TCP 192.168.10.10:51517 192.168.10.1:https ESTABLISHED
but as read somewhere it less safe (secured) than transparent ???
highly appreciate if any qualified answers available

Some services or programs has connection issues when using a transparent proxy.
So to solve this you use:
WPAD to auto setup manual proxy
Transparent proxy to catch the rest
