      Hello guys, i need your help. I recently purchased a netgate SG-2440 firewall and was using it for testing purposes at home, while at the same time running Ntopng. About 4days back, i transferred it to one of my sites in a working environment. Since then Ntopng has stopped working and even if reboot refuses to start..Kindly help me find out why

        Try starting it, check the logs for errors.

          @stephenw10

          No errors are generated.

          I'm almost thinking this is a bug more then anything?

            Is this the same system you are both working on?

            I assume you see logs showing the service starting? But it still shows as stopped in Status > Services?

            Did it just stop working or has it never worked?

            Steve

              I’m using Homeseer to speak to a script using ssh.

              It adds and removes IP’s that are added to the alias. How it handles and if it handles reloading of rules is beyond me.

              All I know is that I see the changes as expected in the alias (not the rule, since it doesn’t change) but it continues to block using the easyrule rule based off the logs.

              In order to fix it, I click on the alias and re-save it from the GUI, then it works.

                And how does that effect ntopng? Was it working OK before you started trying to update an alias using a script?

                And I assume you are not both working on the same system here? Just both seeing problems starting ntopng?
