There is no limitation in pfSense, you can have as many Users / VPN Instances as you want.

As a quick hint... What r u runnin over the tunnel
              300 is quite a number

On a small company we run ~ 80 - 100 users with openVPN quickNdirty setup on a dedicated 100down n 65up with a dedicated hardware box

              No problems so far
But there is only VidConf for Management on premise rest runs over teams aka cloud with split tunnel

Yes we grouped our users by what they do
(bandwidth need) that was more pain in the ass than the setup

Hardware some xeons and about 128gb RAM
              All On ssd raid0

It was a Covid quick setup
But runs as hell for a proof of concept ;)

SSD RAID0 for a firewall? To each their own...but sounds more like Sadomaso. 😂

                  yes absolute true !

but in this case it was planned as a proof of concept,
so lets walk downstairs see what u get on hardware glue it (literally) together an
                  fire it up ;)

                  and yeah its still workin,
a little mess with the reporting but the controlling guys dont wanna mess with the it folks anymore (it policy on devices done the trick pretty good)

                    Hello,

How "scale" performance and vpn users ?

                    I want say :
I want know if a n100 intel can support 20 ou 100 simultaneous vpn users.
And if need more ram or not (4go ? 8go ?)
                    How calculate vpn part ?

My target is small office, like 1 to 250 users, but not all on vpn of course.
Some rules for filtering enter and out, etc...
I try to evaluate, and need to understand how calculate a vpn user.

                      Easy.
You need to know what you 'consume' yourself. With out flat rate ISP price, this notion is lost.
Then you need to know what others need : this question, how hard you try, can't be answered.
From now on, stay at home, do what the 'working world' did during covid.
And go ask others how they experiences it, the quality of their uplink to work, etc.
Understand that everybody wants a "1 Gbit symmetrical" these days ^^

As shown above : 80/100 users over a 100/65 Mbit could work ... but I'm pretty sure they had to wait ones in a while to get to their 'data' ^^

No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
Edit : and where are the logs ??

It's not bandwith or ISP that I want calculate, but cpu and memory needed.
