so, now that I DO know squid IS actually working (just not on android per ssl certificate pinning and android apps) is it possible to set up a custom ACL to bypass squid bumping (splice it instead) JUST for android ON a given site?

for example, twitter works PERFECTLY and gets cached as desired FROM WINDOWS, but NOT for android, so is it possible to set up a custom ACL that makes ONLY ANDROID get spliced for twitter.com and NOT my windows pcs? such that my windows pcs WILL get bumped on twitter, but android ONLY gets spliced?

is something like this possible? and if so, HOW?

          https://www.reddit.com/r/PFSENSE/comments/cvyef2/bypass_ip_squid_and_squidguand/

the answer I was looking for, combined with a few firewall rules to allow exceptions to using squid by way of an alias for the list of host exceptions to bypass squid

For android you may have to manually set the proxy for it. Proxy auto config had issues with android.
