Transparent auth via RADIUS accounting?

Hi all,

Recently replaced an old firewall / proxy with PFsense. It's running well but haven't set up the proxy yet. Our old proxy ran in transparent mode and matched usernames to IP addresses for transparent authentication using RADIUS accounting. I'm coming up blank trying to figure out if it's possible to have a similar configuration with PFsense, or indeed any configuration where users aren't prompted to authenticate but their usernames are still logged.

Can anyone enlighten me as to whether this is possible at all?
