Mark topic as solved
-
Hi, I'd like to mark one of my topics as [SOLVED].
I found various messages on the forum saying I could do so by editing my first post and change the topic title, but I can't actually edit it because of the 1 hour editing window. Some other posts mentioned you could tag the topic with a "solved" tag, but here again I didn't find any tags, or means to tag, anywhere I know the Netgate forum got migrated about a year ago and most posts don't relate to the current forum version, but I would have expected this "standard" feature to still be available. Did I miss an editing feature ? Is there another way to proceed ? Thanks !

Until you have enough rep points.. you can not edit stuff after x amount of time. You can just flag the post as solved.. Then a mod can do it.. The 3 dots bottom right will allow you to flag the post to be maked.

 Thanks @johnpoz , I created yesterday a topic (https://forum.netgate.com/topic/158048/weird-asymetric-routing-issue/18). I'm sorry but I still can't find where to "flag" a topic:

Hmmm... Can you not flag your own posts? Here is what I see.. But on that edit item - it says you can not edit after 1 hour or something? You can always just PM me ;) if you want something marked as solved.. Happy to help. So you want this thread marked as solved - the one you linked too. edit: So I marked that thread as solved, and added a solved tag.

Thanks for marking it solved. I get the "3600s window" error message when I try to edit my first post and submit the change. As to the 3 dots on my first post, I only get the three options as I had in my previous screenshot. See below.

I will ask what is the official way for users to mark as solved - especially if they don't have X rep points.. Maybe that can be adjusted. But for you or anyone else - unless it turns into hundreds of PMs a day or something.. Just PM the thread to mark as solved...
