Firewall rules for VLANs
-
Hi,
My pfsense is connected to a switch through LAN port and I have 5 diff VLANs which all are tagged to the LAN interface. now for the firewall rules I seem to have it wrong and the rules for each Vlan interface is the opposite(not like Cisco that the inbound rule is applied on the interface where the destination resides?) also now I am not sure how the LAN rules should be! can someone help please?

This will be helpful. Read through the entire firewall section. There are also practical examples in the documentation.

We'll be here to answer specific questions when you're ready. Screen shots of your rules are almost always needed to help debug.
pfSense does ingress filtering by default. On the LAN network any rules are evaluated as packets enter the network from clients on that network, for example.
