Tried feb 27th (pfSense-CE-2.5.0-DEVELOPMENT-amd64-20210127-2350.iso.gz) & 28th, and I cant get past the <Install> panel, well I do but it just returns me to the first panel, the license, and have to hit <Accept> which takes me back to the <Install> again...

Those are several days old, and from last month. Try the most recent one, which as of this post is https://snapshots.pfsense.org/amd64/pfSense_master/installer/pfSense-CE-iso-2.5.0-DEVELOPMENT-amd64-20210201-2350.img.gz

@jimp Ok, but that's not an ISO. I was installing to an ESXi, it's a few more hoops to jump through to install an img... But I'll give it a go.

It has "iso" in the name, though, so it should still be usable as an iso if you rename it.

                Hi,

                I'm having the same problem.
                I'm using pfSense-CE-2.5.0-DEVELOPMENT-amd64-latest.iso

I opened an issue to track the problem at https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/11361

For those who can reproduce it, is it limited to just the ISO? Do you get the same behavior with the memstick?

                    Hi,

I didn't do tests with the memstick, only with ISO.

                    Thanks.

                      same here, stuck on install

                      /etc/rc.local: bsdinstall: not found

i'm using this link for the iso
                      https://snapshots.pfsense.org/amd64/pfSense_master/installer/pfSense-CE-2.5.0-DEVELOPMENT-amd64-latest.iso.gz
                      and it's only 175MB

Never use the "-latest" link, you have no idea what you are fetching.

Also see above, the filename changed (though perhaps not intentionally, we're still working on it), so that link hasn't worked in a few days.

I understand. But I only tried to use this file because the correctly named (...) DEVELOPMENT-amd64 - (...).iso didn't work either.

                            @jimp

i find the bugs about 10 days.

                            only the version work. pfSense-CE-memstick-2.5.0-DEVELOPMENT-amd64-20210126-2350.img

Can confirm this is fixed. Just ran the 5th Feb 2021 ISO and it works.
                                Thanks for the quick fix!
