      estram states fail.jpg

Hi everyone! really have this issue even before the 2.5.0 update on pfsense.

Filter states as per status/monitoring, keeps increasing even during low traffic period of the day. And when the number of filter states, reach 1M +, internet connection breaks and accessibility to webgui stops.

I really tried looking for the solution, but to no avail. Hope to have some help from everyone.

@oilahkestrada What value is System > Advanced > Firewall & NAT > Firewall Maximum States set to?

Put in a pass firewall rule with logging turned on. Then select the states detail of the rule with a high number of states. This will take you to the states table which should allow you to determine which device(s) are creating the 1 million states.

@hieroglyph Hi! thank you for the response... Firewall Maximum States set to 1M...

I'll try your suggestion so as to find the culprit.

@hieroglyph sadly, filter states/states accumulate to 1M states at times. Meanwhile, no device in the firewall is creating 1M states. Not resolved yet...
