    When this has any value the connection doesn't work. Yes on both ends the value is the same.

      It works for me here. I clicked Generate PSK, saved, then edited the peer and pasted the same key in there. Worked on the first try.

      If only one side had the PSK it didn't work. But it worked when both had the same PSK and when neither had the PSK.

      Is this pfSense on both sides? Or some other client?

        @jimp pfsense both sides only client mode though.

          @ofloo I had setup Wireguard a lot of times I always use the button from Pfsense to generate the Pre-shared key.

          I have never have any issue and yes, like Jimp say, both systems must share the same key.

          I had never use any other tool to generate that key outside pfsense.

            Did you make up your own PSK or use the button?

            If you make your own key it has to be made with wg genpsk and not an arbitrary string. It's not a password style custom PSK, though the GUI could make that more clear.
