Whenever a client (any client) connects using OpenVPN I see this message in the OpenVPN logs and I'm not sure what it means...maybe I have something not configured correctly on the server side:

      "WARNING: 'auth' is used inconsistently, local='auth [null-digest]', remote='auth SHA256' "

The connection is fine but any ideas what I need to change?

This is most likely due to NCP, I guess you have it enabled.
        You can ignore the warning.

I gloomily came to the ironic conclusion that if you take a highly intelligent person and give them the best possible, elite education, then you will most likely wind up with an academic who is completely impervious to reality.
