I have installed VMware Esxi in a dedicated server on OVH. pfSense is installed by creating a VM and in that I have configured two ethernet(vmx0 and vmx1). vmx0 is connected to Public network and vmx1 is connected to private network.

I have tried configuring the WAN ip on vmx0 referring below tutorial
      https://docs.ovh.com/au/en/dedicated/pfSense-bridging/#recommendations-for-your-pfsense-virtual-machine

      IP: Failover IP
      subnet 255.255.255.255
      Gateway IP: serverip.254

      But it was not working.

So, I tried configuring same ip settings by creating another VM and installed ubuntu in it. After applying internet started working but the same doesn't work in pfsense.

I tried changing the subnet. Still it was not working

      Please guide me.

@chazzy Did you get this working in the end?

I successfully run a virtualised PFSense instance in OVH. The only things I can say to watch out for are for virtual mac addresses and to make sure you have your firewall rules to allow some traffic through (I add a floating ICMP rule across all nics to allow basic IP checks).

        Regards,
        Matt.
