      Hello,

I use the VPN service privateinternetaccess.com in conjunction with the openVPN client in the pfSense.

      pfSense Version:
      21.02.2-RELEASE (amd64)
      FreeBSD 12.2-STABLE

This also worked very well until the server change at PiA.

Since then I can no longer log in.
After a lengthy conversation with the support in which I have transmitted my settings and log again exactly, they told me that it could be due to a too old version of openVPN.

      My configuration was not objected.

I am stuck in a login loop. The connection is established and then reset with the following entry:

      SIGUSR1[soft,auth-failure] received, process restarting

The access data are definitely correct. I can confirm this.

Does anyone use the service or has observed something similar?

After a lot of research, I was able to find the error after a long time.

It was because my password was too long.
The login on the website worked, but not via openVPN.

I am currently still unclear why it did not work. However, I can already confirm that it works without errors with a slightly shorter one.
