Who can help out a newbie with this one: our school has had a new heating system installed that should be able to be adjusted from the outside (via Synco IC, a cloud-based remote access system). This is done via a Siemens web server (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clzzJVyb2w8) that should be accessible via the mac address.
What rule do I have to install on our pfsense firewall to make this possible?

After watching that YT I assume this web server is not meant to be accessed directly. It rather establishes an outbound connection to the Synco IC and you can use any device with a web browser to connect to the Synco IC server which provides a WebGUI for you to control your device.

So you will only have to enable DNS access for the web server and outbound connection, presumably HTTPS.
