I have recently upgraded from 2.4.5.p1 to 2.5.1 and am in the process of rebuilding my openvpn server.

I have rebuilt the server config from scratch, running on the localhost interface (to allow for NAT redirects from LAN or WAN) and everything seems to be working fine. The server is shown as up, the interface and IP are listed on the dashboard, no errors that I can see anywhere.

I have created all new certificates, ca, server cert for the openvpn server and client certs for the remotes but when I go to client export the server list is blank / empty and no clients are listed. There is a warning about this but I cant see any mismatch / error with the certs and they are allocated to users.

Is anyone else seeing this ?

I have not had the chance to do a fresh install of 2.5.1 to compare.

        Hi,

I do not understand why this is necessary?? 😉
2.4.5-P1 to 2.5.1 does not require this, maybe...

Cats bury it so they can't see it!

So I've managed to resolve this - basically I recreated the vpn server via the wizard having completely deleted the old server. ( I also deleted and recreated all certificates but I'm not sure if this was actually required).

Once I did that then the client export was showing the server in the drop-down list.

I tried many many different things to get my openvpn server working after the upgrade and I ran into this as a secondary issue when rebuilding it.

I have a feeling that this was actually because the recreated server was in peer-peer mode when I created it via the Add button and not the wizard - I didnt notice, and so the server would have been the wrong type for clients / exports.
