Setup VPN Unlimited as OpenVPN client
-
I have pfSense 2.4.5.p1 installed as a VM in Exsi 7.0. PureVPN and VPNSecure as OpenVPN Client. LAN goes out to WAN, vLAN30 goes out OpenVPN. Everything works fine.
Now when I also tried to add VPN Unlimited as Open VPN client as in here: https://www.vpnunlimited.com/help/manuals/pfsense-configuration-guide
My LAN to WAN stopped, I couldn't ping google.com on LAN any more.Anyone has any idea what happen?

@jycai
Did you configure the outbound NAT properly? -
@viragomann Yes I configured the VPN Unlimited outbound the same way as PureVPN and VPNSecure. If the outbound for VPN Unlimited is not setup correct, it should only affect the vLAN, not the LAN.
This is how my setup looks like:
Modem - pfSense - WAN - LAN - All other computers
.......................................\ OpenVPN(PureVPN, VPNSecure, VPNUnlimited) - vLAN - One computer -

Depends on the configuration.
Presumably the server pushes the default route to you and the client accepts it.
To avoid pfSense from changing the default route, go into the client settings and check "Don't pull routes". After that it should only affect the one computer you are policy-routing to the vpn server. -
@viragomann That fixed the problem, thank you very much!
It looks like only VPNUnlimited has this issue, PureVPN and VPNSecure do not require to select "Don't pull routes"
