      Hi,

I wanted to ask if there might be a easier method of logging URLs than squid. It seems to me from my research that using squid can lead to cert issues and general upkeep I'm not interested in dealing with. I was hoping that there might be a more suitable package etc. out there for the more focused goal of monitoring URLs visited within the home?

      Many Thanks

There is no “easy fix” to this anymore. Almost all websessions are HTTPS these days, so unless you do one of the two below, you can no longer get the info you are looking for.:

1: Setup a proxy and force all your clients to use it
2: Setup a transparent man in the middle proxy and make all your clients trust its certificate

Love the no fuss of using the official appliances :-)
