    Port forwarding not getting through

      Just set up an emby server and trying to log in on my phone. server not found.

      I can ping my server name from outside the network so i know ddns is working.

      set up the port forward following Lawrence system tutorial and still nadda.

      Running 2.5.2 in VM in unraid.

      any suggestions

        Check the states on the WAN interface :

        Do they increment when you connect from the outside to your WAN IP:port ?
        If they do, pfSense you packets.
        If not, they are blocked up stream.

        Next step : Packet capture on the interface 'LAN', the interface on which reside phone server.
        Port : the port that us used on that phone server.

        Also : check that the phone server is not only accepting incoming connection from it's LAN network, it should accept traffic from "everybody" (everybody == the Internet).

        All this is fine ?
        Then redo you VM setup.

        Edit : and where are the logs ??

          I looked at my wan rules and noticed there had been activity on the port.

          Opened up Emby on my phone and the magic networking fairies did there thing over night....
          it now works
