error on RC update 20220120.1937
-
Was going to bump to next RC today; clicked update and it sort of froze.
Now system reports it is current and not in need of update, and crash report is thus:Crash report begins. Anonymous machine information: amd64 12.3-STABLE FreeBSD 12.3-STABLE RELENG_2_6_0-n226741-b35f877e422 pfSense Crash report details: PHP Errors: [20-Jan-2022 18:35:19 America/Denver] PHP Warning: sprintf(): Too few arguments in /usr/local/www/pkg_mgr_install.php on line 667 [20-Jan-2022 18:35:19 America/Denver] PHP Warning: gettext() expects exactly 1 parameter, 2 given in /usr/local/www/pkg_mgr_install.php on line 668 No FreeBSD crash data found.
Seems pretty ok other than no longer requesting an update. It thinks I'm on the latest; but never rebooted.

Looks like that could have happened if two or more instances of the upgrade process (or any
pkg
process) were attempting to run at the same time.https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/12713
Tricky to hit that situation and that code has been in place for almost a year. I've got a fix pending but it may not make this release.

@jimp Yeah when it didn't show me the usual downloading/patching and about to reboot, good chance I clicked that button an extra time.
Silly users doing unexpected things.
