22.01rc - upgrade fails to copy kernel objects from .pkgtemp dir
-
Today I was upgrading an SG-4860 from 21.05.2 to 22.01.r.20220123.0133 and at the end of the process, these errors were displayed:
cp: /boot/kernel/.pkgtemp.if_tap.ko.JTiknUGkStpm: No such file or directory cp: /boot/kernel/.pkgtemp.if_tun.ko.osF0l25Yfnae: No such file or directory cp: /boot/kernel/.pkgtemp.fuse.ko.jJArAkukSKIs: No such file or directory cp: /boot/kernel/.pkgtemp.if_ixlv.ko.wRjWmvdEON96: No such file or directory cp: /boot/kernel/.pkgtemp.if_igb.ko.RyIPaXYOgygS: No such file or directory pkg-static: DEINSTALL script failed

Not sure if this is anything to be concerned about.
The box came up after reboot and seems ok... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ -
That's expected when you come from an older version. The bug is in the kernel pkg deinstall script which is present on your old kernel there from 21.05.x. It's fixed on the 22.01/2.6.0 kernel package but the existing one can't be updated in-place.
So once you're on 22.01/2.6.0 it won't happen on subsequent upgrades.

@jimp Thank you - yep seems to be running fine so far!
