Change Logout Button?
-
I know this is ridiculous, but would it be possible to change the logout button at the top-right of the GUI interface? I can't count the number of times I've just reflexively hit it because its arrow shape makes me think it's going to take me somewhere. Specifically, I think I'll head off to the forums or the documentation to look something up and instead of using the pfSense tab right next to it, I foolishly hit that logout button.
Silly, I know. But, I thought I'd ask.

Maybe an "Are you sure?" dialog box would help.

@andyrh Actually, now that you mention it, regardless of the icon shape, an "are you sure" prompt would be nice.

What about a reversed situation : would you click on a button if you do not know what it does ?
Logging out is petty inoffensive. If you made that click mistake you have to click two times more to get back in. And only you. Yo want us all (everybody) to click ones more to exit ? :))
I normally just close the wndow or browser and don't even bother to logout, I actually rarely use that button.edit : Your using the GUI on a "small screen" device ?
What about editing the CSS used for these devices ?@areckethennu said in Change Logout Button?:
its arrow shape makes me think
For me, it looks like an 'exit' sign ;)
But I can understand that it could also mean "free hamburgers", all depends on where you live. -
Interesting, I've never noticed that logout button in the past and I've been using pfSense for several years. I've always just go to System / Logout or as @Gertjan said, just closed the browser.
Guess I learned something new or I'm just set in my ways. after all I'm getting to be an old fart. -
@jdeloach I don't normally use the logout button either. The problem is I keep doing it accidently when I mean to be doing something else.
