    Disabling OpenVPN client does not prevent a connection from the client

      I am using pfSense+ 22.01 on a Netgate 7100 router.

      Disabling an OpenVPN client by ticking the "disable" box under VPN / OpenVPN / Clients / (Specific Client) as shown below

      Results in the client still being able to connect.

      I have reported this as a bug in a support ticket, but the customer support person claims this behavior is expected, as one should disable the user under System / User Management

      I am still of the idea that is a security bug, and wanted to bring this to the attention of the group.

        @aborsic After a further conversation with support of Netgate I understood that my understanding of the OpenVPN configuration was wrong, and actually the experienced behavior of the OpenVPN client configuration panel is the expected behavior. Apologies for the false alarm.

          Hey use the certificate revocation list

          No cert no login

          Should do the trick
