Disabling OpenVPN client does not prevent a connection from the client
-
I am using pfSense+ 22.01 on a Netgate 7100 router.
Disabling an OpenVPN client by ticking the "disable" box under VPN / OpenVPN / Clients / (Specific Client) as shown below
Results in the client still being able to connect.
I have reported this as a bug in a support ticket, but the customer support person claims this behavior is expected, as one should disable the user under System / User Management
I am still of the idea that is a security bug, and wanted to bring this to the attention of the group.
Best Regards,
Andrea

@aborsic After a further conversation with support of Netgate I understood that my understanding of the OpenVPN configuration was wrong, and actually the experienced behavior of the OpenVPN client configuration panel is the expected behavior. Apologies for the false alarm.
