Upgrade to PFSense plus 22.01 resulted in a bootloop. Luckily I had a snapshot and restored the older version. PFSense is running virtualised under VMWare ESXi 6.7.

Only thing I saw at the console was:BTX loader 1.00 BTX Version is 1.02. Then it rebooted again and again.

I also snapshotted the broken upgrade. If there are suggestions on how to get it working, let me know and I'll try.

EDIT: below seems to be unrelated. Another system also can't find any backups. Probably the system is down @ Netgate.

I wanted to restore a config backup (the snapshot was 2 days old and I made some changes in between), but it can't find any backups.

No backups could be located for this device.

Are they deleted when upgrading? Not sure what is happening here.

I reverted to the snapshot, upgraded the virtual hardware (6.7 compatible) for the VM in ESXi and did the upgrade again. This time it worked.
