From my data center provider, I have QnQ connection from a client in the data center provider's remote data center. The drop from the datacenter (SM 10GE) is connected to a switch port tagged with the QnQ outer VLAN tag. (VLAN2500). I've trunk'd this VLAN 2500 to the virtual pfSense fwa and connected it to a QnQ interface on it.

The pfsense has a WAN interface, a LAN interface, another interface for each of the inner VLANs in the QnQ. and of course, the QnQ interface.

If the client losses his production eco system, the pfsense would take over the layer three routing.

I've read in the QnQ docs in the netgate site, that a bridge is needed for the inner vlans.

From here, how the QinQ interfaces are used is mostly up to the needs of the network. Most likely, the resulting interfaces may be assigned and then configured in some way, or bridged to their local equivalent VLANs (e.g. bridge an assigned igb2.10 to igb3.2000.10 and so on).

I just can't seem to comprehend the articles related to Bridging. i need the inner VLANs in the QnQ to be accessible from the corresponding VLAN interface on the pfSense.

Any clues on how to build the proper bridge would be greatly appreciated.

      Thanks!
