I’m deploying a network where the routers have redundant VPN connections and are a “hub and spoke configuration.” All in all, I’ll have about 50 BFD peers, so I’m a little concerned about CPU usage. Does anyone know if the XG-7100 offloads it’s BFD computations or is it handled by the CPU?

@wblanton XG-7100 offloads to what? Its not an enterprise-grade hardware with dedicated ASICs like what comes with Ciscos or Junipers.

        Firewall: NetGate,Palo Alto-VM,Juniper SRX
        Routing: Juniper, Arista, Cisco
        Switching: Juniper, Arista, Cisco
        Wireless: Unifi, Aruba IAP
        JNCIP,CCNP Enterprise

@wblanton FRR does not currently by default do any asic offload of BFD. 50 BFD peers should be ok on modern cpu's I would think though
