WG vs OpenVPN dillema
-
Hello all
I have an ubuntu laptop that I access via remmina (remote desktop).
This laptop is connected to two VPNs itselfWhen two of those VPNs are enabled I can access it via OpenVPN but can't via WG.
Any clues on how to think about this dilemma are appreciated.
Thx

@chudak I'm trying to understand here. You are connecting to a laptop through remote desktop. That laptop is connected to 2 VPNs. When both VPNs are connected you can connect to the laptop through OpenVPN but not Wireguard?
What is the VPN server? Is the Router the VPN server? Is the Laptop the VPN server?

That's correct. Both VPNs are to my work and the laptop connects as a client.

As I said above the VPN servers are by m work.
My router is running as an OpenVPN server and WG, the laptop is not (don't think it's related to the issue at hand)Thx

@chudak Right. So I'm trying to understand where:
When two of those VPNs are enabled I can access it via OpenVPN but can't via WG
comes from.
Where are you trying to remmina from?
Both VPNs are to my work.
Are you at work trying to remmina to a computer that is VPNd into your work?
I'm just trying to understand the topology of what's happening here.

I am trying to connect to this laptop via ANY remote app, remmina or VNC from any computer on my network
Both VPNs are to my work.

Here is the real use case.
My laptop is at home. I access it from my second house from a PC, connected via OpenVPN client or WG client. In the first case, I can connect, and in the second - no love.
