loginterface
-
All,
Any particular reason that the loginterface is set to the LAN instead of WAN? Can this be changed or would it negatively impact something?
Not sure if/where this information may be utilized, however would be nice to make it select-able (perhaps via System -> Advanced -> Firewall & NAT) would be appreciated. No matter which interface its set to (especially if there are more than 2) is going to be biased one way or another. However, leaving it to the user to select the interface enables them to choose 'bias of preference' when reviewing "pfctl -s info". As "LAN" could potentially end up being the least active when multiple interfaces are present.
Thanks!

@justme2 Nobody in their right mind would login using the WAN address, they'd set up VPN access if they wanted to access the GUI externally.
You could always create a Vitrual IP and use that internally:-

@nogbadthebad I think you missed my query - its not "login interface" its the natural pf.conf "set loginterface" component. It defines the interface that pf captures statistical information on. (Statistical data is available via "pfctl -s info")
