Google LDAP authentication failed

I am using google LDAP authentication for captive portal. The problem is, the users who are in sub domain can not authenticated by google ldap. In main domain it is working fine.
Example:
xyz@example.com is authenticated, but xyz@students.example.com is not authenticated.
Is there any way to overcome the problem?
