      Hi,
      I have a pfSense 2.5.2 running on a VMWare hw version 13.
      Is there any problem if I shutdown the VM, upgrade hw version to 15, then restart it?
      HW version 15 has an explicit FreeBSD 12 profile and I'd like to update it.

        I have no idea about the hw upgrade or VMware.

        But always backup the config file to a secure place ...
        Then it's easy to reinstall pfSense , to the current state - If s... hits the fan.
