Is it possible to change use the backup/restore tool to change the captiveportal-config xml file from a file on the box itself, instead of the computer I'm accessing the webGUI with? I have a script that downloads an xml file tailored for pfsense to the box, and I want to be able to select that via Backup/Restore, or even better if I can just have the script replace the xml file, that'd be even better!

Where is the captiveportal-config xml file kept, anyway? i.e. what would I type in edit file if I wanted to open it up in the webGUI?

        Try /cf/conf/config.xml

If I doubt if your edits will be 'sticky'.

wouldn't the edits be successful if I delete config.cache immediately afterward?
