Haproxy API automation ?

Hello guys,

I am trying to find a way to adjust frontend and add backend automatically in Pfsense->Haproxy

Found a tools for WebUI automation that probably can be used - e.g. https://pptr.dev/ . By the way appears to be I cannot create a GUI user to manage HAproxy only? it should be admin user? looks not secure.
Found that HAproxy itself have some kind of API but looks like pfsense package does not support it. https://www.haproxy.com/blog/haproxy-apis/

Probably it is possible to integrate it somehow but do not want to break everything that already have been configured on pfsense.
Possible I can make an SSH user who would be changing HAproxy config. Not sure if this is secure at all.

May be someone already have experience in setting up automation to Haproxy?
Would be very helpful for suggestions and may be practical examples of how to.
