      It would be great if you can enter port TCP and UDP directly with the aliases.

        A Port-Alias has no way to signal to the Firewall rule where it's used , if it applies to TCP or UDP or ... It's just a port range.

            In any setting in pfSense, where you can use the aliases, you can state the protocol. So why you would state it in the alias?
