Canon Printer and Issues with eSCL Quest

Hello fellow netgate community members, can you please help?

My Canon multifunction printer works on everything in the house, except the iMAC 2021 M1 edition running 13.1 when I look at Squid it seems it can not find the ip address for

http://c0a299900000.local/eSCL/ScannerCapabilities

If i manually adapt this to the ip address it works can I can see the system capabilities.

I have even added a DNS resolve host override however it will not change to the ip address of the scanner with checking c0a299900000.local. My scanner just won't connect it works with the Windows 11 system and the smart phones perfectly fine. Why does this not resolve the ip address with the Imac? Same subnet, same network, just different software.

My DNS blocks all DoH the ones I know about, and I have it set to NAT all 53 to the firewall, it send 853 over the lan to 1.1.1.1.

This does work with the Windows 11 system and our smartphones when on the lan, again for the iMac I get no scanner only the printer works.
