      Hello Captive Portal Guys
I would like to hear from you what are your experience from a pratical point of view in setting these two parameters.
Is there a rule of thumb / best practice in a way ?
What are your settings today for these two ?
      Thanks
      Pierre

Which means that devices that stop generating traffic will get removed after 360 minutes.
Connections will get removed after 720 minutes. As I'm using a portal for a hotel, where 'clients' arrive' and 'clients leave' is somewhat known upfront.
Btw : a third hidden parameter : make your DHCP lease period twice the hard timeout.

Also, if a soft time is set, you can omit the hard time out. Or the other way around.

No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
Edit : and where are the logs ??
