Hi, I’m considering trying out Wireguard as a full production Site2Site connection between aSG-6100 and several SG-2100’s.
It will be a replacement for IPSec tunnels which enjoy hardware accelaration on both boxes and delivers about 250mbps peak throughput with my average 40ms latency (Pretty good for such a little box).

Unfortunately I have no testhardware to try out the setup for a longer duration.

What kind of performance will wireguard deliver on this platform compared to IPsec? What about stability and production matureness of the “experimental” package?

My reason is the simpler setup and the more explicitly understandable routing model - which also allows an easy way to handle a few specific external machines permanently connected to the network.

Love the no fuss of using the official appliances :-)
