      Greetings from Chicago,
We are running pfsense community editioin version 2.6.0-RELEASE (amd64) with pfblockerNG on a production machine. The firewall is blocking https://xxx.backblazeb2.com/file/Connect90/anifest.json
I whitelisted the ip address in pfblockerNG - it didn't help. So I put a firewall rule in pfsense to allow all traffic in/out from this public ip. I can ping and tracert to the public ip, but the link with .json is timing out. I can successfully access this link from outside the network. Can anyone assist! Thanks!

@shaw222 no other packages? PfB works via firewall rule. Is your allow rule above any block rules? Maybe try disabling the block rules temporarily to find which is triggering.

Edit: unless you’re thinking DNSBL is blocking it. In which case it wouldn’t resolve correctly.

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

steveits - thanks for the speedy reply
          we have dnsbl disabled
the allow rule is the first rule in firewall before any block rule
