I Think i know the answer but i want to ask and be 100% sure. If i can get my install to work, which is faster PCIe passthrough of an entire NIC or Virtualization to the TNSR install. I have a 40GB NIC i would like to try along with at least 1 10GB NIC. I hope to also setup a bridge in Proxmox that another VM can access. If Passthrough is the winner in speed will the virtualized bridge slow the overall TNSR install down or just that leg of the network traffic?

I guess another good question would be, can TNSR navigate 2 40GB connections along with multiple 10GB connections or should i not mix them? The PC this is going in will be running a PFSense instance and a PiHole Instance on ubuntu server. I would also like to run a Batocera install off this box but Network fun first.

If you have any input on this please let me know. If my thoughts on this are plain wrong or not possible i can take that. Right now all my hardware is spare parts in my basement.

      Hardware is below:
20 Core 40 Thread Xeon (Across 2 CPU)
      256GB RAM
      1 DUAL Port QSFP+ NIC
      1 T561 Dual Port RJ45 Ethernet 10GB NIC
1 Dual Port SFP+ NIC (Mellanox I think....)
      1 RX580

@sentein Did you end up trying this out? If so, what were the results? 🙂
