VLAN on Cisco SG 200+ PFsense
-
Afternoon all,
Looking for some help with setting up VLANs at home but as a novice I am struggling a little.
I have the following setup:
Pfsense: Physical box with 2 NIC's one for WAN and one for LAN. LAN router on 192.168.200.1. PFsense working fine with Internet access.
Configured VLAN 30 as a network for my main PC's
with ip of 192.168.100.1 and a range from 50 to 100. Also configured the DHCP to be provided on VLAN 30. I have attached some screen caps of the settings done on the switch.Trying to achieve an ip address of 192.168.100.X on the client PC when plugged into port 5 of the switch. Unfortunately I keep locking myself out of the switch every time and end up caring out a hard reset.
Please help

@harjpanesar your almost right... If port 5 was connected to pfsense pfsense would see a vlan 30 if you set that up on pfsense with the same vlan ID.
Then if you want a pc to be on that vlan - connect it to another port in access mode in vlan 30.. with pvid of 30..
Maybe this helps.. Port 5 on my sg300 goes to interface on pfsense where I have 2 vlans setup 4 and 6, along with a untagged network on vlan 2 on my switch.
Then see on port port 27 I have a device that is on my vlan 4
then you can see port 27 the pvid is set to vlan 4 as well.
